Glass Beads
This wallpaper has long been one of our important classics. Depending on how the light falls, these wallpapers unfold their particular effect: in raking light they recall morning dew, in frontal light they recall sunshine.
It was by chance that this wallpaper came into being. Sunlight fell upon the spot where a bucket of tiny glass beads had been knocked over. Instead of absorbing the light, the corner shone as though the actual light source were hidden there. Another ten years passed before we finally succeeded in fixing tiny glass beads onto wallpaper lengths. Even before the turn of the millennium, this innovation brought international recognition.
