The fireplace is the quiet centre of a room. Welter frames it with surfaces that breathe in the light of the flame – hand-set beads, broken crystals, metal leaf.

There are surfaces in a room that lend themselves to very special materials: the fireplaces. We have yet to meet anyone living in a house with a fireplace who did not show off their hearth with particular pride. This jewel deserves to be specially dressed and beautifully adorned. More than once, we have designed new surfaces for these special places that later found their way into our collection.
